Marcello Bacciarelli

Brief Biography-Marcello Bacciarelli was born in Rome in 1731. He worked in Dresden for King Augustus III of Poland. After spending time in Vienna, he settled in Warsaw under the patronage of Stanisław II Augustus of Poland and became the director of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1768. In addition to portraiture, he painted Polish history scenes. Alexander Kucharsky was one of his noted students. |
