Oscar Gustaf Björck

1860-1929 Sweden

 

Brief Biography-Oscar Gustaf Björck was born in Stockholm. He received his tuition at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts where he later became a professor. His journeys took him to Paris, Munich, Venice and Rome after being awarded a travel scholarship. He settled in Stockholm and became a member of the Academy. His works were influenced by Peder Severin Krøyer whom he spent time with in Skagen during summer months, along with a group of other renowned Danish artists.
