Juan Correa

1646-1716 Mexico/Baroque

 

Brief Biography-Juan Correa was likened to Miguel Cabrera and Cristóbal de Villalpando, however, he was one of the more productive artists of his time in Mexico. Amongst his numerous religious works, are paintings in the cathedral of Mexico City and several churches throughout the country. His most noted student was José de Ibarra.
