Jacob Willemsz Delff II

1619-1661 Holland/Baroque

 

Brief Biography-Jacob Willemsz Delff II was from a family of artists in Delft Holland. He was the grandson of the Painter of the Prince of Orange Michiel Jansz van Miereveld. Miereveld was his main source of inspiration whose style influenced his portraits. His father Willem Jacobsz Delff was a highly successful engraver and his uncle Cornelis Jacobsz Delff was a successful still life painter.
