Jacob Duck

c. 1600-1667 Holland/Baroque

 

Brief Biography-Jacob Duck was from Utrecht where he was trained to be a goldsmith as a young man. He later received his art tuition from Joost Cornelisz Droochsloot and became a member of Utrecht Guild of Saint Luke. He was influenced by the works of William Duyster and Pieter Codde. His work took him to Haarlem and The Hague as well as Utrecht during his life but he was not known to have ventured outside of Holland.
