Ding Guanpeng 丁观鹏

1708-1771 China-Qing Dynasty

 

Brief Biography-Ding Guanpeng was from Beijing in the Qing dynasty. His master was Giuseppe Castiglione, an Italian missionary in China where he was an imperial court painter to three Emperors. Ding Guanpeng painted Taoist figures, as well as landscapes. Guanpeng's works and his brother, Guanhe's pieces, are in Nanxun Hall, The National Palace Museum in Taipei. Many collections of his paintings are also in The Imperial Palace of the Qing Dynasty.
