Brief Biography-Juran, his only known name, was from either Jiangning or Zhongling. He was a monk belonging to the Kaiyuan Temple and worked as a disciple of Dong Yuan. He quickly became a highly regarded landscape artist and is known for his hanging scrolls depicting the southern parts of Jiangnan. |
