Brief Biography-Bruno Andreas Liljefors was born in Uppsala, Sweden, in 1860. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm and spent a year visiting Germany, Italy and France. He married twice and spent most of his life in Stockholm and Österbybruk, retiring to Uppsala for his last couple of years. He is the most noted wildlife painter of Sweden, mainly known for his animals of prey. His impressionist work would be mostly en plein-air. |
