Jorge Vinatea Reinoso

1900-1931 Peru Painter and Cartoonist

 

Brief Biography-Jorge Vinatea Reinoso was from Arequipa, Peru where he was raised. He was a painter and cartoonist and had his first exhibition in 1917. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes under Daniel Hernandez who established the school. Reinoso later became a professor at the school and made a successful living as an illustrator for magazines. He was only thirty one when he died of tuberculosis.
