Diego Quispe Tito

1611-1681 Peru-Mannerism

 

Brief Biography-Diego Quispe Tito was from Cuzco, Peru. He was instrumental in setting up the Cuzco school along with Basilio Santa Cruz Pumacallo. His influences were of Spanish and Dutch origin, the style of Ferdinand Bol is taught to have had an impression on his work. These impressions came from a Jesuit artist named Bernardo Bitti who had travelled from Italy via Spain.
