Frederick James Aldridge
1850-1933 England/Maritime Painter
|
Brief Biography-Frederick Aldridge was from Worthing in Sussex, where he lived most of his life. He painted primarily in watercolour from the age of twenty. Aldridge travelled abroad, but most of his work was of English maritime scenes. He based himself in his gallery shop in Worthing and exhibited works at the Royal Academy. Unfortunately, his failing sight caused him to cease painting six years before his death in 1933. |
