Marcello Bacciarelli

Brief Biography-Marcello Bacciarelli was born in Rome in 1731. He worked in Dresden for King Augustus III of Poland. After spending time in Vienna, he settled in Warsaw under Stanisław II Augustus of Poland’s patronage and became the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts director in 1768. In addition to portraiture, he painted Polish history scenes. Alexander Kucharsky was one of his noted students. |
