Brief Biography-Jules Bastien-Lepage was one of the more essential en plein air painters who still impresses today’s artists. He was a disciple of Alexandre Cabanel and influenced by Jean François Millet and Edouard Manet. During his successful career, he was close to Marie Bashkirtseff, who he strongly influenced.
