|
Brief Biography-Benedetto Bonfigli (Buonfiglio) learned his profession in Perugia, where he was born. Some of his most celebrated works were frescoes in the Palazzo del Consiglio, the Adoration of the Magi in San Domenico, and The Annunciation, on panel, in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. Domenico Veneziano, Fra Angelico and Piero della Francesco influenced him greatly. In 1467, he collaborated with Bartolomeo Caporali on a panel in San Domenico. Pietro Perugino was said to have been his pupil; however, this is uncertain. |
