1821-1883 Hungary-Biedermeier
|
Brief Biography-József Borsos was a Hungarian portraitist who studied in Vienna. However, due to financial difficulties, he left Vienna in 1861 and settled in Pest. As he could not enjoy a source of income from portraiture alone due to the advent of photography, he opened a photographic studio and a restaurant; they would be his livelihood for the remainder of his life. |
