Brief Biography-Jacopo Chimenti was from Florence, where he spent the entirety of his life. The works of artists like Andrea del Sarto and Jacopo Pontormo influenced him and, most of all, Santo di Tito. He was renowned for painting altarpieces but was also a painter of still life; the Medici family commissioned many of his works. |
