Paul Gustave Doré

Brief Biography-Paul Gustave Doré was from Strasbourg, born in 1833. In 1848, he was working for a French Journal doing caricatures. He later received commissions to do illustrations for books by various authors. One such commission was for Lord Byron’s works, which led to more creations for renowned authors and images in the English Bible. He was successful in the United States and Britain. He died in Paris in 1883. |
