Brief Biography-Thomas Hill was the foremost painter of Yosemite Valley, and his images are always in high demand worldwide. Born in Birmingham, the family moved to America when he was a teenager. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Hudson River School influenced him greatly when he painted in the White Mountains. Finally, Hill settled in California, where he painted numerous locations, including his beloved Yosemite Valley. |
