Thomas Hill

Brief Biography-Thomas Hill was the foremost painter of the Yosemite Valley, of which his images are always in high demand worldwide. Born in Birmingham, the family moved to America when he was a teenager. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Hudson River School influenced him greatly when he was painting in the White Mountains. Hill settled in California, where he painted numerous other locations along with his beloved Yosemite Valley.
