Aleksander Kotsis

1836-1877 Poland/Romanticism

 

Brief Biography-Aleksander Kotsis of Kraków was born in 1836. He studied at the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts, exhibited at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts, and progressed to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, studying alongside Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller. He eventually settled in Munich and regularly exhibited at the Kunstverein München. Unfortunately, he died relatively young in Munich at the age of forty-one.
