Brief Biography-Utagawa Kunisada II of the Edo period was a disciple of Utagawa Kunisada I and a master of Utagawa Kunisada III. He was an ukiyo-e printmaker of the Utagawa School. He produced forty series of actor prints, portraits, and illustrations. Kunisada II ceased working six years into the Meiji period and died in 1880. |
