Brief Biography-Cornelis Saftleven was from Gorinchem, South Holland. His brother Herman was also a well-established painter. His father taught him, and Adriaen Brouwer and David Teniers He painted several themes, which varied from religious paintings to peasant scenes. He is renowned for his pictures of animals acting as humans. |
