Brief Biography-Solomon Joseph Solomon was born in London in 1860. He studied in academies of England, Germany, and France, where Alexandre Cabanel influenced him at the École des Beaux-Arts and became a member of the Royal Academy in 1906. Solomon designed and produced camouflage for use in warfare in 1916. His most renowned painting is Samson which hangs in the Liverpool Art Gallery. |
