Brief Biography-Antonio Vassilacchi was born in Milos, Greece, in 1556. He was a pupil of Paolo Veronese in Venice in 1571; however, his most significant influence was Tintoretto, with whom he worked. He painted numerous works in the churches of Venice and the surrounding regions, including the great halls of the Doge’s palace. He died in Venice in 1629. |
