Brief Biography-Michael Wolgemut was from Nuremberg; He had the largest workshop in the city where Albrecht Durer did his three-year apprenticeship. Wolgemut’s work is best known for illustrations; however, he did many woodcuts and large-scale altarpieces. His stepson Wilhelm Pleydenwurff assisted him with many tasks. |
